Traitor

We saw Traitor on Wed night - a movie that I'm sure would have been quite brilliant had it the courage to tell the story it professed to. Unfortunately it fell short and succumbed to the American hero dream. A shame really, we are so culturally uninformed that it would have been worth sitting through the deliberately heart wrenching story line to gain some insight into whatever it is that drives us to kill each other in the name of religion. It was disappointing.

Enough testing

I am the anti-olympian. It's not a political stand. It's more that I simply do not get it. Though I have to confess, I think I've watched more of the Olympics this year than in my entire life. I suspect that's more likely due to the very large TV screen in the staff room. Still - one has to admire the dedication that it takes to become truly great at one's chosen path.

And on that note, congrats to The Gin Club for their success at the Q Song Awards. Very impressive indeed.

My first blog

This is my first blog so I am testing what it does. I got the idea from Trent, one of the more recent on the list of blogs I like to procrastinate over. My other favourite distraction is Peter's Freedom to Differ blog. Not sure my blogs will be very interesting, but then who knows what people are going to read.
